Benjamin Stahl holds a PhD in Clinical Neuroscience from the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, Leipzig. He has conducted a series of (randomized controlled) trials on aphasia therapy through communicative interaction and music, apart from completing a training in psychotherapy (approbation) and habilitation in psychology (venia legendi). Serving as a professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Medical School Berlin, he is currently an associate researcher at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Universitätsmedizin Greifswald, where his work focuses on post-stroke depression in individuals with aphasia. His ongoing Sentire subproject at the Humboldt University of Berlin aims to explore the interplay of psychotherapy and music.
